Share memories with care

During sign-up we ask for your email, your name, where you live now by city or country, your optional occupation, a short story about yourself, and a simple close-family snapshot.

Close family means parents, grandparents, siblings, spouse or partner, and children. You can add more after admin welcomes you into the platform.

Only share details about living people when you have permission, when you are comfortable telling them what you shared, or when you can help admin correct or remove the detail if they object.

Admin reviews join requests before anything becomes visible to approved family members. Drafts and submitted requests are private to you and admin.

If you add a child or minor, keep the detail minimal and make sure a parent or guardian is comfortable with it. A name and family relationship is usually enough at this stage.

• Home addresses, ID numbers, passports, phone numbers, or private email addresses for other people.
• Medical, financial, criminal, political, or sensitive personal details.
• Private messages, family disputes, rumours, or anything intended to embarrass someone.

Family history is built from memory, and memory can be incomplete. If someone asks for their information to be corrected, hidden, or removed, admin can update the platform.

When in doubt, write less. Admin can always ask for more detail later.
